Evidence: Colombian cultural ambassador

For this evidence, you need to choose eight (8) Colombian idiomatic
expressions and describe what they mean is such a way that a foreigner can
understand them.

• Meaning: This expression is used to refer to two people who like to spend
lots of time together and enjoy each other’s company. They are each other’s

 Meaning: This expression is used to refer to owing money

 Meaning: This expression is used to conquer another person.

 Expression: Guayabo
 Example: Ellos amanecieron con guayabo
 Meaning: This expression is used to refer to the discomfort that occu
after having had several drinks.

 Expression: Comerse el cuento

 Example: La vecina come cuento de todo
 Meaning: This expression is used to refer to believing something that is
generally a lie.

 Expression: Polas
 Example: vamos por unas polas
 Meaning: this expression is used to refer to a few beer in a context of
Friends.

 Expression: Parar bola

 Example: Juan párele bola a su mamá
 Meaning: This expression is used to refer to situations in which you have
to pay máximum attention.

 Expression: Chino
 Example: Ese chino es muy listo
 Meaning: This expression is used to refer to a small child.
