Hydrocarbons Resources (ALNAFT) approved the
plans for development of the fields of Eastern
Takuazet, Western Takuazet, and Northern Tesselit by
the Algerian-Russian alliance Sonatrach/Rosneft-
Stroytransgaz. The alliance was formed in 2001 by
Algerian national oil and gas company, Sonatrach
(40%), and Rosneft-Stroytransgaz (60%), a joint
venture between Rosneft and Stroytransgaz.
