 Bahrain is a small kingdom

(765.3 km²), group of 33
islands located off the
eastern coast of Saudi
Arabia.
 Bahrain’s population is
currently around 1.2
million Bahrainis and
residents.

 History
 Bahrain was one of the Gulf’s most important Geo-
Political & commercial location for over 4,000 years.
 In modern era, Bahrain became pioneer in many
fields in the Gulf region:
 Firstschooling system (1919)
 First girls schooling system (1928)
 First oil discovery in the Gulf (1932)
 First published newspaper in Gulf (1939)
 First country it’s people influenced by global political
movements “nationalism; communism; liberalism” (1930s
onward)
