FUNDEVOGEL
Short essay about the story
There were ones a forester who found a little boy crying in the forest siting in a
high tree and forester climbed up brings him home to raise along with his daughter and
their names are Fundevogel and Lina. Lina discovered that their cook was planning to
boil water and throw it to Fundevogel, so she convinced him to run away with her and
transforming themselves into a variety of objects to hide and escape from the three
servants sent by the cook to find and capture them, and in the second time her servants
came back and did tell the cook that they cannot find them, then in the third time finally
the cook went with the servants to seek them out, and then Fundevogel and Lina turn
themselves into a pond and a duck, as the cook continue to find them she saw a pond
and she lay down by it and was about to drink up, suddenly the duck swam quickly to
her and able to drown the cook and they return home safety and not being killed by the
cook

Background of the author/date of publishing

- Jacob Ludwig Karl Grimm (1785 – 1863) - also known as Ludwig carl, was a German
philologist, jurist and folklorist.

- Wilhelm Carl Grimm (1786 –1859) - was a German  author and anthropologist, and the


younger brother of Jacob Grimm, of the literary duo the Brothers Grimm.

Plot
- The forester found a boy named Fundevogel in the forest and bring him to his
home to raise along with her daughter Lina. Lina found out that their cook
plan to throw a boiling water to Fundevogel and that Lina and Fundevogel
escaped and hide by turning themselves into a various object, and as the
cook finally went with the servants an then she saw a pond and she lay down
to drink then a duck quickly swam towards the cook and it drown her, Lina
and Fundevogel they return home safety and not being killed by the cook.
Sequence
Beginning

- Lina and Fundevogel decided to escape from the cook and her servants.

- As in the second time the servants cannot find the children and in the third
time the cook finally went with the servants to find and they found a pond the
she suddenly laydown to drink but suddenly the duck swam quickly towards
her and able to drown the cook and they return home safety and not being
killed by the cook.

- When the cook plans and wants to throw a boiling water to kill Fundevogel.
Theme

- The theme is about true friendship and about how to loved, protect and trust
each other.

Application to real life


- if I relate this into my life, this story shows how the power of true friendship
works, on how you help each other in times of hardships and challenges we
may face. This is to remind us that we are not alone we have our friends to
lean and depend on, because two heads are better than one.
