Course Code and Title:
C-PCIT11: Social and Professional Issues in Computing

Course Description:
This course will provide a values-based approach to ethical professionalism and ethical
issues in the workplace. Appreciation and discussion of the Code of Ethics for IT Professionals and
relevant laws will be covered. Also, cybercrimes, intellectual property including patents, copyright,
trade secrets, online behavior, privacy issues, SPAM, hacking, data breach, software licensing, and
plagiarism.
