2LAC? And what is LAC session? How is it different from your usual administrative and/or 3faculty meetings? 4 5Response: In my own understanding LAC is a program where people talk with one another kung 6may mga problema sila sa subject na tinuturo nila or may mga problema sila sa mga bata. At may sinusunod kaming program. (Translated Answer: In my own 15understanding LAC is a program where people talk to one another if they have problems with 16the subject they are teaching or they have problems with children. The LAC session is this one 17that happens every 16th of every month where we have a workshop on the topic allotted. We 18even have the outputs that our speaker produces. But we can't always LAC because many paper 19works are done. At faculty meetings, we do not just ask ourselves what our problems are. What 20we need. The important details are then announced at the division office. LAC session because 21we have output, as I said earlier. We teachers have the task of successfully organizing the 22session. And we have a program to follow.) 23 24QUESTION NUMBER 2 QUESTION NUMBER 2. How do you select the topics in your 25school for your LAC sessions? What are your practices in conducting needs assessments? 26 27Response: Ay awan sa ti kasta ditoy school mi. hehe. Iti malagip ko nga aaramidin da ket 28damagen da kami lng no anya problema ti klase mi or anya ti kailangan mi kasjay met lng. Hehe. Ah okay. 33(Translated Answer: I don’t think that there is such in our school. All I can say is they ask us 34what our class is or what we need, just in case. Then we were just surprised that they were doing 35our solution during our LAC session. Ah okay. So sir, those who are in-charge of our LAC 36session for the month is asking what we need or problem because what we are doing is 37departmentalized facilitation of LAC. If your department has been designated for the LAC this 38month your department will be the working committee of the Lac session.) 39 40QUESTION NUMBER 3 How do you conduct planning activities that lead to the 41identification of your professional development needs prior to the conduct of your LAC 42sessions? How are you using various data-based documents (e.g., self-assessment tools, 43classroom observation results, critical reflections, surveys, research-based teacher 44development needs, and students’ assessment results) to guide your selection of teacher 45development needs? 46 47Response: Hahaha. Nasabi ko na din kanina to sir. Ngem ulitik lattan ah niya sir. Hehe. (Translated Answer: I answered you earlier about this sir 56but I will repeat my answer again. Our LAC session sir is departmentalized. It's a month since 57anyone woke up here and they will do everything. Programs, resource speakers, topics to be 58considered and most of all should be used in the session. Is that okay sir? Those are the basics 59most often organizers have about our topic other than our department head asking us if we have 60class problems or how to teach a lesson. It's just like we COT. Where we are down there they 61help us and they open it in LAC session because not only do we have a problem department in 62that but also other departments.) 63 64QUESTION NUMBER 4. How do you form your LACs in school? What is the seating 65arrangement of your LACs during LAC sessions? (Translated Answer: 73We always face the speaker by department. One department is sitted in one table and so on 74together with our department head. Each subject area has a designated table where they can sit. 75We're with our Head or sometimes they are sitting in the front. Especially if EPS is our speaker.) 76 77QUESTION NUMBER 5. QUESTION NUMBER 5. How often do you conduct LAC 78sessions? How long do they meet? How do you meet or communicate (i.e., face to face or 79virtual)? 80 81Response: Once a month lang naman. Mahaba na yung 5 hours. Mga 1:00 in the afternoon kami 82nagi-start then magi-end kami ng 5 or past 5 ganun. Translated Answer: 85Just once a month. It's 5 hours. About 1:00 in the afternoon we start then we end 5 or past 5 like 86that. Of course they still have announcements after the session. We meet in the hall after our 87meeting. We have to come to the session because we have something to clear after the session.) 88 89QUESTION NUMBER 6. How do you select the resource persons for your LAC sessions? 90How do you obtain material resources for the LAC sessions (e.g., supplies, worksheets, 91videos, equipment, budget, food, and venues)? 92 93 94Response: Depende sa topic. (Translated Answer: Depending on the topic. 98If there is an expert on the topic that is not at our school then he or she will be the speaker. But 99if there is no expert in the field we can take a speaker to another school. With supplies, coming 100from the MOOE. At meal, we pay 20 pesos for our snacks. At the venue we always conduct our 101LAC in the hall. 102 103QUESTION NUMBER 7. How well do teachers aware of their roles during LAC sessions? 104Can you describe the coordination among your LAC members, leaders, facilitators, and 105resource persons throughout the LAC process? They are always ready parang boy scout. (Translated Answer: We are participative because we know that in each 112session we have activities to present in front. So we have to make and be attentive to what the 113speaker says. They are always ready like boy scouts. Because when they are designing the LAC 114session they have a meeting to plan everything to make the LAC session run smoothly.) 115 116QUESTION NUMBER 8 QUESTION NUMBER 8. What are your established group 117norms for LAC sessions? How conducive is the learning environment for your LACs? How 118teachers in your school feel safe whenever they engage to LAC activities? How do teachers 119in your school respect one another during LAC activities? 120 121Response: Norms, Ah okay. Lagi naming pina-follow kung ano yung nasa program like kung 122ala-una ang start ng session, ala-una talaga, tapos yung mga preliminary activities like prayer 123singing of the National Anthem ganun at higit sa lahat open furom. Hindi yun nawawala may 124mga nag-aaway kasi andami nilang ideas pero at the end of the day naman magkakasundo kami 125Hehe. I mean kapag may 128nag recite at hindi nila nagustuhan. Sasalungatin nila. 136(Translated Answer: Norms, Ah okay. We always follow what the program is like from the start 137of the session, first of all, then the preliminary activities like prayer singing of the National 138Anthem and most of all open forum. It's not like there are some who argue over their ideas but at 139the end of the day we will agree. Sometimes it's scary because there are arguments that oppose 140each other’s ideas but it's fun because we also learn a lot because we have new ideas. 141Sometimes we have lunch or we feel like we have co-teachers. I mean when someone recites and 142they don't like it. They will oppose it. But as I said before. We learned a lot when the LAC 143session was happening because it brought out different ideas on how to solve our problem with 144strategies on how to teach the subject. Hallah, I feel like I've answered this before. Okay then. I 145admit sometimes it's really frustrating because there are answers that happen. It's always every 146LAC session but it's okay because after the session there is no conflict because they have 147professional ethics. If the session just happened then it wasn't just a session when we met in 148class as if nothing had happened.) 149 150QUESTION NUMBER 9. What sources are you usually using during the 151operationalization of your LACs? 152 153 154Response: MOOE ang ginagamit namin pagdating sa mga materials. (Translated Answer: We use MOOE when it comes to materials. When it comes to 157snacks and supplies for the session it is shouldered by Canteen fund and our personal expenses 158we pay 20 pesos.) 159 160QUESTION NUMBER 10. How do you prepare LAC plans? Who writes the LAC Plan? (Translated Answer: What we do for the LAC plan is who is in charge they 170will designate who will make the LAC plan. Ah usually the one who is in-charge in making the 171LAC plan is our Master Teacher per department after they do not approve the Principal. This is 172because the SIP plan is based on AIP and SIP on what teachers need to improve so they can 173align it with AIP and SIP where the needs of teachers are unmatched.) 174 175QUESTION NUMBER 11. Usually, what are the forms of your LAC activities? (Translated Answer: When it comes to LAC sessions 180we always do a seminar type session and we are always holding LAC sessions in the hall of 181school. We were just in the classroom because we were students and our heads were the 182teachers.) 183 184QUESTION NUMBER 12. In what ways do teachers in your school collaborate during 185LAC sessions? (Translated Answer: We work together when a speaker is assigned. We select a 191representative to represent our work. Then of course when there is an activist we need to 192respond when they ask or we will help our representative answer.) 193 194QUESTION NUMBER 13. Is there an individual or group action plan for the 195implementation of agreed activities as an outcome of your LAC session that would be 196implemented or applied in the classroom? How do the teachers in your school report the 197implementation of agreed activities in the classroom? How do the LAC facilitators and 198LAC leaders in your school monitor and evaluate the implementation of agreed activities in 199the classroom? 207(Translated Answer: Nothing, they just want to see and they want us to apply what we have 208agreed upon during the LAC session. What our Head is saying is that they need to see that when 209they observe us in class. But before that we submitted a lesson plan so they could evaluate our 210performance and put in place those that we discussed at LAC that needed to be applied in our 211classroom teaching. At COT, because every quarter period we have classroom observation. We 212just need to put in the things we discussed during the LAC session that we should apply.) 213
