As promised, I’ve picked a woman’s chart for this chapter : Merida in Snow White’s cloak. Has
anyone heard of Merida ? She is the main character from the 2012 Disney Pixar film Brave. So let’s
start with part 1 of this chapter.

Based on this Bazi of a woman. On the surface, she is beautiful and friendly, a woman where man wants to
get their hands on :
• Gui sitting on Chou denotes a person who is beautiful and gentle. However she can be overly
sensitive with people around them. With F in her house, she regards friends as family and with 7K in
the same house, she is closer to friends of the opposite gender. Her dainty and soft outlook
camouflauge her aggressive nature.
• Her life is suppressed by her parents and in turn, she applies the same on her children.
• She has good intention in trying to solve her friend’s problem, howewer, her overly sensitive nature
coupled with aggressiveness creates tension with people around her. At times, she may find it hard
to
• She has a strong desire for power and success. However over indulgence may lead her to problems.
• At work, she may appear to be soft but she has things under her control behind the scenes.

Born with a silver spoon, she is her grandparents’ jewel, a child with unlimited questions. She
questions why things are what they are and challenges norms at home. Curiosity increases as she
grows. She puts priority on her friends and will be there for her friends at a moments notice. What
matters to her what she can leverage from people around her to win her gold medal - she will
identify the most worthy thing to do and go all the way out to get it done.
In her mid 20s, she has a clear direction in life with a keen eye for power and success. She may
appear weak and unassuming but is waiting for the right moment to strike. She is a corporate
butterfly on an accelerated climb to authority and power at this stage. However this is also a stage
where she could be on a crossroad having to choose between friends and power.
In her mid 30s, strategic thinking with precision execution brings her to the peak of her
achievement. She will have to make another major decision between career and family.
In her mid 40s, her life takes a toll. She will face with obstacles and find it hard to move on. This is
due to her stubborness and unwillingness to compromise as she has the need to remain in power
and to be always right.
In her mid 50s, mental stress kicks in and she struggle to keep up with the demands at work which
eventually cause her to lose her job. With her having to leave the workplace which she has been loyal
too, depression takes over her life. Her family relationship suffers.
In her mid 60s, she will spring back with strategic plan and will have some success in both with
wealth and relationship before she start to destroy the success she has gained.

In part 1 of this chapter, we had a snapshot of who she is, in part 2, we have an overview of her life
trajectory if she is to go with the flow.

In part 3, we will look at the hindrances of her early success

As we know by now, she is born with a silver spoon and the jewel of her grandparents and at risk of being
spoilt by her grandparents. With Gui personality, she is a naturally caring, nurturing and loves resolving other
people’s issue. However with Gui sitting on Chou, she gets absorbed into the issues of those whom she tries
to help and may end up offering help when not needed. This will be a showstopper for her success if she does
not know how to step back and not overshine those whom she works with.

Her growth starts to accelarate in her teens, naturally intelligent and not having any major issues in the early
years of her life, her confident level propels making her over confident. This is another attribute that can
throw her off her path to success. Given that she is overly sensitive disposition to people around he, the petty
people, rumours and back poking that she attracts at work will affect her mentally.

At her peak of her success, she is at risk of reckless actions as monkey comes into her luck pillar. Monkey is
her forgetfulness star “亡神”. Monkey in the luck pillar is also clashing with Snake (her desire) causing
disturbances in her thoughts. Her over confident nature will propagate the mental disturbance into internal
struggle leading to the downward spiral in her 40s.

In part 3 of this chapter, we’ve looked at the possible things that could have affected her success,
now in part 4, let’s look at what she can do to sustain her growth.

There are 2 aspect that is important to her :

1. Friends
2. Wealth

You can take wealth away from her, but not friends.

Let’s dive in and look at what she has in life.

For a person born on a Gui Chou day, her useful animals (or help and support) are Snake, Rabbit, Horse,
Pig, Tiger, Rooster and Rat. Each of these animals supports her in specific area. Her natal chart (at
birth) has 2 of the animals, Snake is her nobleman while Rat is her fortune star. Individuals with
fortune star in natal chart does not need to worry about living, they just have it naturally. With Rat
in her month pillar which is also her parents pillar, it indicates that her parents can provide for her.
Her luck pillars has 5. Wow! What great life she will have with all these useful stars in her path.

We will keep her as the main subject and assess her connection with her desires and her work
environment.

A – Ambition/Desire. Her ambition and desire is her driving force in life. As long as she keeps a clear
mind of her goal and not let friends matter take over.

With 7K in her house, she has great driving force and is fast with action, however on the flip side,
7K also represent boy friends. If she follows her heart instead of her mind, her boy friends can
muddle her thoughts and distort her path to success which leads to the destruction of her own
dreams. The Snake nobleman in the hour pillar being the most powerful support in her chart
represents her children and her subordinates.

B – Career/Work environment. She thrives in a friendly environment. Given her overly sensitive
nature and a need to provide and care for friends, she needs to be able to differentiate work from
personal emotions. This is the aspect that either build her or destroy her.

Let’s look at her luck pillars.

Rooster which is her general star enters her luck cycle at mid 20s which gives her the commanding
force, at the same time, Rooster combining with Ox and Snake in her mid 20s increase her
leadership quality and with Rooster also her General star strengthen her commanding power which
propels her career growth.

In the diagram I have a special marking (yellow) in her luck pillar as well as the 7K in her house. This
is the best timing for her to settle down with Mr. Right. Bonus tip : where can she find Mr.Right – a
man who will give her happiness and supports her ambition ? From the chart, Mr. Right would be
someone at work of lower rank than her but a man whom she voluntarily listens and look up to. This
man would have already came into her life in her 30s.

And why mid 40s and not earlier nor later ? She has 7K in her house and as explained 7K represent
boy friends, in her mid 40s, with Goat entering her luck pillar, her boyfriends will be clashed away
and at the same time, the Goat also harms her career pillar. So what is the best happiness to pursue
when your career takes a downturn ? Take a break from work and enjoy the honeymoon! At the
same time, she can start planning for her family and her exit from her employment. Having said
this, I do not suggest that she turn into a full time house wife, it will be a waste of her talents and
ability. She can leverage on the IW, 7K and EG that the Goat brings to her luck pillar to start
building a side income.

When she enter mid 50s, Ren water enters her luck cycle bringing the RW (Rob wealth) star to her
life with Horse galloping in with likeability flair. RW on the surface may indicate being robbed,
however it indicates ones ability to identify and capitalise opportunity, turning them into profit
making endeavour. Horse has a direct clash with Rat which means she needs to change her career.
This is the perfect timing for her to exit employment and work on her business. Another Snake
appears in her subsequently luck pillar ensure a smooth journey and finally she can retire from her
business which answers the destruction that was explained in part 2.
