Budget aside, which is a better value for money: the Fujifilm

X-T3 brand new or the XT1 used at <1/4 the price of a new
XT3?
This very much depends on you, are you the sort of person
who gains kudos from having the latest iteration swinging
from your neck? It is ok if you do, I have a couple of friends
who have to have the latest gear but rarely if ever open the
user manual to get the most out of their purchase.

Do you need the increased speed? Will you use the enhanced
low light ability? Are there things that you would not be able
to do, that you need to do were you to opt for the XT1?

I hope that you can see where this is going. There are lots of
bright shiny bits of kit that I would love but, to be honest I
would not use half of them and those that I did, the use
would not be as frequent as I convinced myself it would be
when I bought it.

The XT1 is quite a camera, if you will use all of it’s features
and still need more, then the answer is simple.

Remember a camera is just a tool, its the person using it that

composes the picture and selects the exposure etc.
