THE SCHOOL UNIFORM SHOULD NOT BE ABOLISHED

School uniform is a specific attire that that the students wear at school. School uniform is
different for each school. The uniform is decided by the principle of the school. There are schools
that don’t have uniform. As we see in many American movies or series such as Hannah Montana,
they don’t wear school uniform. In America, they could wear mostly anything at school but here in
Malaysia, school uniform is obligated in every school. The should uniform should not be abolished
because there are more pros than cons from wearing uniform than not wearing it.

Apparently, the school uniform is an identity of the school and the student. Students represent
their Schools every time they wear it. They are the pride and grace of the school. The schools dignity
is on them. Therefore, students would feel responsible and energetic to do task and assignments.
The students would behave and would not go to bad places cause the uniform would tell them they
should not go there. There is a saying “good shoes bring you to good places, bad shoes do otherwise
‘’, from that we could see that the school uniform can prevent you from going to bad places. The
uniform also would help students when they lost or collapse on their way home. Random people
would contact the school if anything happen to the students instead of calling the parents who
might been busy.

Next, the school uniform is like a rope, it unites the students well. The students come from various
background. They consist of different races, different religions and also different social class. The
school uniform unites the students no matter they are Malay or Chinese, Muslim or buddha , poor or
rich. Everyone would be just one thing which is the student of the school they are studying. This
would give the equality to everyone. Those poor students would not get bullied by the fancy
students because of their cheap and out – dated clothes they wear to school. This would decrease
the tendency of students get bullied and reduce peer pressure at school since there is no issue with
the clothes as all students wear the same attire.

On the other hand, a purpose of wearing uniform is to build discipline among students. As people
say “charity begins at home” therefore, the students need to be trained to be discipline as they are
still young and easy to shape. Discipline is also a key of success. The students would not suffer lack of
motivation as their discipline is strong enough to survive hardships in life. The school uniform itself
help students to save their time. As time is golden , students don’t have to waste lots of time to
think what to wear to school every day. They would have more free time to do homework.

Last but not least, the school uniform also saves money. Parents don’t have to buy lots of clothes
for their child each year. Students can wear the old ones since nobody could barely tell whether it is
new or old ones. Parents could be more relaxed instead of working double to triple job to buy new
clothes for their children especially the underprivileged. This would reduce domestic violence since
parents and child are not pressured and the family would live happily.
