Will
Grammar

Will is a modal verb. There are many uses:

1. To predict a future event: It will rain tomorrow.

2. To express a spontaneous decision: I'll pay for the tickets by credit card.

3. To express a voluntary action/willingness: He'll carry your bag for you.

4. To express a promise: I will call you tomorrow.

As an example, let's use the subject 'I', the verb 'to play', and the object 'cards'.

The simple future is composed of two parts: will + infinitive.

The structure looks like this: Subject + will + infinitive

I will play cards.

Match the sentences on the left with the functions on the right.
