useful:

cheap expensive breathtaking gorgeous safe dangerous

My favorite place for sightseeing is Peleș Castle in Sinaia, due to three reasons. The first
reason, the rich history: the grand castle was built at the wish of King Carol I, the first Romanian King,
and was meant as a summer retreat. It was inaugurated in 1883 and served as a royal residence over
time.
Peleș Castle was also one of the most modern constructions of its time being the first castle
in Europe to have central heating and electricity.
The second reason is the outstanding and breathtaking architecture and design. Not
surprisingly, considering it served as a former home of the Royal Family of Romania, the interior of
the castle is the definition of luxury.
Its 160 sumptuous rooms are embellished with the finest examples of European art,
including: murano crystal chandeliers, german stained-glass windows, handmade silk embroideries
and cordoba leather-covered walls. The fees for visiting the castle are low.
The last reason is the charming location. The castle is located in a secluded area at the foot of
the Bucegi Mountains in the picturesque town of Sinaia. The building is surrounded by tall mountains
and lush vegetation.
You can easily get to Sinaia either by car (on the E60 or DN1 road) or by train. The castle is
crowded with tourists on weekends. Once you get here, you can go hiking, take in the breathtaking
and gorgeous views and enjoy the stunning landscape.
