ETHICS
TASK #1
Happiness is a final end or goal that encompasses the totality of one's life. It is not something that can be
gained or lost in a few hours, like pleasurable sensations. It is more like the ultimate value of your life as
lived up to this moment, measuring how well you have lived up to your full potential as a human being.
We desire and pursue on things that completes our desires and makes us feel happy. Most of the time we
misunderstood happiness and equate material things to happiness which is not supposed to be. Those
material things that gives us satisfaction and pleasure or even other matter are merely requirements of
being happy, because material things are temporary whereas virtue is eternal. Things have certain
limitation but virtue is lasting and the extent of happiness is not pleasure, nor is it virtue. It is the
exercise of virtue.
TASK #2
PORNOGRAPHY
Pornography exists within a broader sociocultural context in which stereotypes about gender, sexism,
sexual objectification and violence-supportive attitudes are also at play it may strengthen attitudes
supportive of sexual violence and violence against women. This, in turn, alters both sexual attitudes and
behavior. And someone who’s addicted and makes watching pornography as a habit affects the character,
mindset, action and even the way how they make conversation they incorporate the idea of what they feel
on watching pornography where unethical attitude arouses like dirty talks, disobedience, rudeness and
being impolite. Where as he/she gets pleasure and satisfaction upon watching pornography and that
doesn’t seems happiness and not even the definition of happiness. Just like in this lesson I will
incorporate the happiness over material things which is not happiness because it is only a desire that gives
pleasure in doing a particular thing. As a human being we should not tolerate the wrong doings even if it
gives us a sudden joy and be able to control impulses. Direct the soul to morally virtuous act.
