1. CHOOSE PROPER PLACEMENT
Choose a prefered location that will be at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
Allow at least 1 ft (30 cm) of space between the Float Tank and room walls
for maintenance.

NOTE: It is recommended to place your tank in a room that maintains

approx. 70 degrees F or higher.

2. INFLATE TANK BASE

Start by taking the supplied inflation pump (see CONTENTS page for
inflation pump reference) and inserting it into the valve, turn it to the right
until you have an air-tight seal. Inflate the tank base until you have reached
6 psi maximum. After the pump gauge reads the proper psi the tank base
should feel solid.

NOTE: After inflating each section of the tank ensure there are no
punctures caused during transit. If you notice anything is damaged please
contact us immediately.

4
3. PLACE HEATER PADS
The heater pads are designed to be placed on top of the tank base that
was set up during step one, and will radiate the heat up toward the tank
that sits directly on the heater pads.

5
IMPORTANT

VERIFY THE PADS ARE THE CORRECT SIDE UP!

They will have markings on each pad to verify which side is up.

Lay down radiant pads so they are just barely touching each other.

6
BURNS
Use heating pads only as directed. Confirm that the heating
element in the heating pad is facing upward. While the heating
pad is activated, do not leave in contact with any object other
than the waterproof liner as directed, and avoid direct contact
of skin with the heating pad.

LOAD BEARING CAPACITY &

WATER
The Float Tank is intended for use by one person at a time.
Confirm that floor load bearing capacities are able to support
the Float Tank weight when filled and occupied. Calculate at
approximately 70 lbs (31.7 kg) per square foot + body weight.

4. INFLATE FLOAT TANK

There are six different valves on the float tank you will need to inflate to
complete the process (left wall valve #1, right wall valve #2, rear wall valve
#3, lower front wall valve #4, door frame valve #5, door valve #6).
Remember to continually check the psi gauge on the pump so that each
section of the tank is at the target 6 psi.

7
NOTE: Each valve has a pin in the center that can be manually
pushed down to deflate the wall. If you push down and turn the pin the
airway will stay open for easy deflation. When inflating a panel, check that
the pin is in the proper position to hold air. After each section of the tank
has been inflated make sure you fasten the valve cap. Not doing this might
cause air to leak if the valve pin is pushed down.

5. INSTALL FILTRATION SYSTEM

A. Premade Joint Piece
B. Pump & UV Filter
C. Filter Bag (back of tank)
D. T Joint
E. Elbow Joint
F. Hose Clamp
G. Hose

8
Start by setting pump (B) in place and then attach the premade joint
piece (A) on top of it. This would be the time to make sure it aligns

9
well with your filter bag (C) in place. Adjustment may be necessary.

Route the plug wires through the neoprene sock to the outside of the
tank. Connect the rest of the filtration line using the hose clamps.
The hoses should connect together with some force. Be sure to use
the T connector in the middle, followed by the elbow at the end.

6. PLUG - IN AND VERIFY SAFETY

Plug Grounding Probe, Temperature Controller, and UV Pump into the
GFCI outlet. For safety, the tank water should be electrically grounded due
to a possible induced current from the heaters. Make sure the Grounding
Probe is plugged in and submerged at all times.

The grounding probe has two female plug ends and is installed
between one of the temperature controller plugs and heater pad plugs. It
doesn’t matter which side you choose, as long as it’s installed between one
of them.

10
NOTE: Plug in the pads temporarily to verify they weren’t damaged in
transit. The pads will heat almost too hot to touch.

Plug everything with the tank through the GFCI provided or one of your
choosing. GFCI’s cut the power if the electricity ever comes in contact with
the water. If an accident were to happen, they will save your life! Test them
once a month with the test button. If it powers off they are good. Be sure
your GFCI is at least plug height, not lower.

IMPORTANT

EVERYTHING MUST PLUG IN

GFCI
NEVER PLUG ANYTHING NEAR YOUR TANK INTO
THE WALL DIRECTLY. EVERYTHING SHOULD PLUG
INTO A GFCI DEVICE. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY
RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK

Plug Install the Float Tank at least three feet from all electrical
outlets and metal surfaces. Do not allow any electric appliance
within three feet of the Float Tank, and never introduce electric
appliances into the water, as this may result in serious bodily
injury or death.

11
7. FILL TANK WITH EPSOM SALT
Install inline filter to the hose you are using to fill your tank.

NOTE : To make sure none of the carbon from your filter enters your
tank, run 5 gallons of water through the filter into a drain, or until water runs
clear.

This part takes time. Don’t rush it, just enjoy the process.

After adding 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7.5 cm) of water start smoothing out

creases on the tub floor. Once smooth, continue to fill the tank with 5
inches (13 cm) of water. Add 100 lbs (45 kg) of salt at a time, mixing in fully
as you go.

NOTE: If you bought your salt from Zen Float Co., we provide 850 lbs
(385 kg) of salt per pallet, you won’t use it all to fill your tank. Only 800 lbs
(363 kg).

Agitate water and salt by stirring and mixing. It may be easiest to stand in
the water and mix it around with your feet. Once 800 lbs (363 Kg) of salt is
added, fill until the water level reaches 10 inches (25.5 cm).

12
ADDITIVES AND SALT INGESTION
Do not add additives (such as bubble bath and bath salts) to the
water in the Float Tank, other than Epsom salt as directed. Do
not ingest the water in the Float Tank.

PROPERTY DAMAGE
Do not overfill the Float Tank. Never leave the Float
Tank unattended when filling with water. Be aware that
water rises as you enter the Float Tank. Avoid using
sharp objects when near the Float Tank as this could
puncture the Float Tank and cause flooding. Always
drain the Float Tank as directed before moving the
Float Tank to prevent flooding.

SUITABLE INSURANCE
Improper use of this product may create certain risks of
damage to person and property, including water damage.
Please consult with your insurance advisor for information
about suitable insurance coverage.

13
8. TURN ON AND VERIFY SETTINGS
Plug the two heating pads into the Temperature Controller. Plug the UV
Filter in.

The first thing you will notice is a slight glow from the UV filter. The
temperature will now display a temperature detected by the attached
temperature sensor. Securely place sensor in the water toward the bottom
of the tank to allow the Temperature Controller to auto-regulate water
temperature through heating pads. Set Temperature Controller to : 93.5º F
(34º C)

Anticipate the temperature rising approximately 1º F (1/2º C), per hour.

To set the temperature

controller, single click
bottom button to set the
temperature, and use the
top and middle buttons to
adjust.

To change degrees to Celsius hold the top and middle (up and down)
buttons simultaneously for three seconds.

14
You should now see the heating indicator light turn on and within minutes
be able to feel warmth coming up through the pads in your tank.

9. INSTALL AIR VENTS

Insert vent stem through vent holes on the back of the Float Tank and snap
together with the other half of the vent on the other side.Tuck in three tabs
to start and use finger to tuck the fourth in.

NOTE: We provide super glue in a patch kit provided with your tank.
Many users apply a small drop or two of this glue on their inside vents to
keep them in place indefinitely. That way you will never bump them off
while floating or cleaning.

15
ASPHYXIATION
Lack of ventilation may cause injury or death. Before
entering the Float Tank, confirm that the air vent
stems are inserted as directed and functioning
properly.

IMPORTANT
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TEMPERATURE BEFORE GETTING INTO THE
FLOAT TANK. DO NOT EVER FLOAT IF THE TEMPERATURE IS ABOVE
96º F, OR IF IT FEELS ABNORMALLY WARM.

FIRE HAZARD
Keep all flame and other heat sources away from the Float
Tank, including the tank fabric. The fabric may burn or melt
if placed in contact with any flame or other heat source.

16
DRUGS AND ALCOHOL USE
Do not use drugs or alcohol before or during use of the Float
Tank. The use of drugs or alcohol may increase the risk of
injury, unconsciousness, and possible drowning.

SLIPPING AND FALLING

To avoid falling or other injury, use caution when entering
or exiting the Float Tank.

CHILDREN
The Float Tank should not be used by children under the age
of [12]. Closely watch all children in and around the Float
Tank, and never leave any child unattended inside the Float
Tank or with access to the Float Tank. It is recommended that
all doors and windows to the room containing the Float Tank
remain locked to limit access.
