It is with great pride and honor that I do the
Foreword of this latest work of one of the most prolific
legal scholars of our generation, Prof. Alvin Talag
Claridades.

The “Revised Rules of Civil Procedure: A Review

Precis” is reflective not just of the volume of the
contribution of Prof. Claridades to Philippine legal
scholarship but also of the admirable range as well as
incisive depth of his grasp of the law honed by more than a decade of teaching in
various law schools. This makes him an ideal law professor as he can teach with
even a short notice almost any subject in the law curriculum.

Wesleyan University, as well as all the other law schools in the country
where Prof. Claridades has been connected, are definitely all proud to celebrate
with him in this another milestone in his career.
