II. ISSUE
III. DISCUSSION
Anent the first issue, the Juris Doctor Student posits that law is not just all about law
books, codals, commentaries, and cases, he believes that law school is also about growth, maturity
and self-search towards ones pursuit to better himself.
Growth, a law student while investing his time, money, and effort, grows his skills in
managing the former in order to compromise them, and find ways to have more time for himself and
his family.
Maturity, a law student while in the course of studying law, develops a wider perspective in
terms of knowing people and his environment. Because of constant exposure to law-related
information, he gradually understands the workflow in the society, and how it is structured for
survival and continued existence. Further, he understands why a person resorts to the commission
of various offenses that led him to incarceration. His mental and psychological attitude is gradually
evolving, making him more of an observer, thinker and law abiding but conscious citizen, rather than
a narrow-minded, reckless and judgmental individual.
