resource management. Although with good human resource management, it is
inevitable for conflict between two or more co-workers on the long run. As a
human resource manager or employee, team building activities are opt to be the
best solutions for aiding conflicts between co-workers. Team building as defined is
used to enhance social relations and define roles within teams, often involving
collaborative tasks. Team building gives the workers to grow as one big foundation
for the company they are working, making it a harmonious community. It becomes
like an orchestra playing a symphony where every instrument is at the right place
and every note falls in the right page. Conflict can manifest itself in a variety of
forms and to varying degrees, but the causes often include differences between
expectations, goals, values and personality styles. When conflict escalates to the
point where a supervisor needs to get involved, the situation has often gotten to a

resolution.

Focal points of team building

A team achieves more than an individual - if it is well managed and the team
members work together in harmony. Our programs support teams in achieving
common goals, creating a positive culture of debate and developing the team’s
personality.

What sounds simple in theory, requires systematic work in practice. In the team
building programs, we therefore use instruments which convey direct experiences
of how a team works well together, what drives a team’s performance and what
serves to simplify cooperation.

 Strengthens Teamwork – Teams who work well together are often more
successful. Each member of the team is obliged to do their part and exert more
effort in order achieve its success.
 Improves Communication – Gets everyone chatting rather than just the office
gossip! Each member in the group give their suggestions or the whole team do a
brainstorming. Through this way, the team interact with each other and come up
a certain solution or idea.
 Improves Productivity & Motivation – They say two heads is better than one. If
the output is up, everyone’s a winner. Of course, each member of the team is
entitled as winner since you work together as one. It’s always good when there
is healthy teamwork because there is determination and motivation. When a
member is motivated then he/she is productive. They are more determined in
achieving a certain task.
 Gauges Strengths & Weaknesses – Helps spot the areas which need improving.
In team building, it’s better if the group contains members that are not that
close. We are all aware that in a workplace there is always a friendship group,
so it’s better if the members in the team building is being shuffled. In this way,
you work with someone who is not close to you and this is the time that you
will be tested on how you deal with your groupmates. You will see some of its
strengths and weaknesses when you’re working with members that are new to
you.
 Offers a Platform for People to Shine – Can unearth a hidden gem! We don’t
know that somebody in the workplace have certain talents until there is team
building. In this way, it will help boost each member’s confidence.
 It’s Fun – Not only will they enjoy themselves it will also translate positively
into their work. Team building is doing a certain task through fun activities.
