1000 Heavy-Duty Electric Trucks in India by Infraprime Logistics

Logistics start-up Infraprime Logistics Technologies, announced its plans for 1,000 heavy-
duty electric trucks on Indian roads post the successful commercial trial of its 55 MT electric
truck fleet over the last one year.
According to the company, the commercial truck run resulted up to 60% savings in operating
cost over conventional diesel trucks – a factor that can bring down the cost of logistics
significantly.
Since launch of Electric Truck in India in 2019 Infraprime have garnered significant attention
as a pioneered of industry-first air-conditioned batter pack with 6,00,000 km warranty.
Electric truck has gradient of 23%, significantly compared to diesel trucks making operation
in difficult terrain much smoother.
As per Subodh Yadav CEO of Infraprime Logistics Technologies – Planned production is
oversubscribed with a waiting time of 6 months as per significant demand for product and
also company are expanding production capacity.
The company which has raised investments from German VC fund Fundamental AG and
entrepreneur-led fund Leo Capital and is backed by notable high net worth individuals
including Vellayan Subbiah (MD, Tube Investments) hopes that its expansion plans can
contribute to the economic revival in India in the post-pandemic world.
With 1000 Truck on roads specially in roads of Delhi NCR the company predicts to set the
ball rolling for sustainable logistics. The conventional diesel engines and their fleet over
rising bills wold be over as the power required for charging electric batter would be provided
by company operated charger network.
At present, Infraprime Logistics Technologies is operating 2 charging stations on Delhi-
Jaipur highway and a fleet of 12 electric Trucks is already on the road.
