Crew-Change Covid-19 measures

This Operational letter is being released to take into account the many recent changes within the
present legislation in the UK & all other local Authorities. This will be added in our Covid outbreak
plan within the next revision. This also takes into account lessons learned and recent advice from
many discussions with Health Protection Scotland & local Environmental health authorities.

We are of the opinion that when you join your vessels you are within what the government calls, your
household or support bubble. Moving forward from today onwards we have to ask all joining crew-
members to now complete the revised Form 2.8 Fit to Work Declaration with the new control
measures.

The new measures we must adopt fleet wide are as follows:

• Face coverings are to be worn onboard for the first 7 days and treated the same as you are
meeting someone new until your new “household” has been established.
• Temperatures to be taken for the 14 days – which then will have to be re-set if someone joins
or breaks 3rd party visitor rules or a long term 3rd party has to join the vessel.
• Cabins are to be thoroughly cleaned by the departing person – with chlorine based solution
recommended by the NHS. Details already submitted to the vessels
• Poster to be released and added to the COVID Management plan. This poster to be issued to
all cabins and displayed in all communal areas.
• Each person – clients/crew – To Sign the revised Form 2.8 Fit to Work Declaration with the
new control measures. This also acknowledges that they will accept responsibility for wearing
the Mask for 7 days onboard, maintain social distancing and for the cleaning of their cabin at
the end of the trip.
• At crew change – The Master confirms within handover notes that all cabins have been
thoroughly cleaned.
