BALANCING BUILT ENVIRONMENT: A HYBRID DESIGN APPROACH

2.4.2. Result of application

The system foresee its application to provide:
 Improved construction performance through
increased prefabrication and overall space
efficiencies;
 Enhanced comfort and working environment;
 Reduced overall energy usage/carbon
emissions and environmental impact;

Spatial Efficiency
 The cavity depth of 300 mm with Integrated
HVAC into faced
 A single floor to be used as plant room for central
heating system is eliminated
 Total faced area used : 13%
 Floor are increased : 15%
 Decentralized strategy and prefabricated

Comfort and Energy Saving
 Control natural ventilation for air hygiene and efficient cooling providing healthier
indoor space
 Noteworthy acoustic performance due to double layer elevation
 Counter act to the challenged faced for transparency and protection from solar gains
 Energy consumption reduced by 27.75 KWH/m2 compared to centralized strategies
