ACTIVITY #5

In the process of Design and Analysis of multi-storey timber building, I prefer the
Roof System to Foundation. My reason is quite simple. In order to create an excellent
foundation, one must analyze/ identify the factors that affects the strenght of timber in
creating the roof system which also affects the design process of its foundation that will be
subjected to the entire computed loads resulted from its roof sytem itself. It is important to
start from the top to bottom in terms of building structures because the design process of a
foundation depends on the computed value from the top resulted loads of the roof sytem.
In other words, strong foundation depends on whether it can withstand the load subjected
to it from its roof system design process.
