DO s :
1. Clean the glassware thoroughly before and after use.
2. Handle the glassware carefully.
3. Use large volume of water, when a person is splashed with acid to prevent
serious burns.
4. Weigh the articles in the balance only at room temperature.
5. Use different pipettes for different reagents.
6. Read the level of the meniscus curve, in all volumetric glassware, by keeping
the eye at the curve of solution.
7. Always add acid to water.

Don’ts :
1. Never handle chemicals with bare hands.
2. Never blow out the last drop from the pipette. When the liquid has drained out
completely, touch the tip of the pipette to the inner surface of the vessel.
3. Never add water to acids.
4. Never use mouth to pipette out acids and other toxic reagents.
