EXECUTION OF GOMBURZA

In February 17, 1972, the 3 priests called Gomburza, during the Cavite Muting the
removal of personal benefits of workers, taxes and forced labour. It started a small revelation
on the night of January 20,1872. Acused tried to kill through “Garote” without even a lawyer to
defend them. Garote or Garote is a Spanish word that is a weapon, most often a handled
ligature of chain, rope, scarf, wire or fishing line, used to strangle a person.
Father Mariano Gomez, a holy priest helped a lot in signing the land for the farmers,
the poor and peasants he would have defended. Second is Father Jose Burgos, an aggressive
activist wishing to have Church, reform. Third Father Jacinto Zamora, secular priest is the one
who is looking for, whose touch is named Jose Zamora. He was being arrested becaused he is
close to father Burgos.
Meanwhile, a letter SONA was sent by the powerful Spaniards, from the three priest.
Governor General Rafael Eskwerto, before the three priest marched so that they would be
ashamed that they were not wearing their “abito”.
The archbishop disregarded the law believing that the three priests were innocent of
the occusers, rang the bell in the last obidience to the three priests, while on their way to the
new town. Then the soldiers take the three priest and said “You three are condemned to death
by the “Garote”. For befraying Spain and start a revolution.
First Father Gomez the 85 year old, he spoke “Let’s go to where the leaves will not be
shaken if they are not moved with thickness and calmed sat in the Garote chain. Second is
Father Zamora he didn’t speak, third Father Burgos, calmly sat Dow and say “what have I done
wrong? I will die in vain? There is no justice in this world, “son do what you are commanded to
do first”.
So I knew that if it had not been a years 1872 there would not have been flaridel o
hayna or group of Filipinos in Europe would appeared. Without Rizal would have now been a
“Subista” instead of writing Noli Metangere wrote a book that is the opposite of his knowledge
and purpose.
