Critically discuss legislation as a source of law in Zimbabwe. (25)

On 4 February 2019, Anotida sold to Diva, a Mercedes Benz E Class, for the sum of $80 000.00.
It was agreed that a deposit of $40 000.00 was payable on signing of the agreement, and the
balance on or before the 1st of May 2019. Diva only paid the deposit and as of 20 May 2019 he

had not paid any other amount. The motor vehicle was delivered to Diva on payment of the
deposit. Anotida has approached you for advice on whether he can recover the motor vehicle or
the balance of the purchase price.
