PRESENT SIMPLE
I go to school every day. I don’t like pizza. Do you play football every day?
We play footbal every Monday. We don’t play football every day. Yes, I do./ Yes, we do.
No, I don’t./No, we don’t.
She washes the car once a week. She doesn’t sing. Does Jim play football on Sundays?
He plays the piano every day. She doesn’t play the piano on Mondays. Yes, he does.
No, he doesn’t.
RETINETI:
- Pentru PRESENT SIMPLE se folosseste intotdeauna auxiliarul DO cu cele doua forme – DO/DOES – urmat intotdeauna de forma verbului asa cum este,
respectiv V (sing, dance, run, shop, play) – numai la NEGATIV SI INTEROGATIV.
- La INTEROGATIV auxiliarul va fi scris INTOTDEAUNA INAINTEA SUBIECTULUI.
- La NEGATIV nu se pune niciodata negatia NOT, intotdeauna se pune auxiliarul cu formele sale de negativ, respectiv:
PRESENT SIMPLE: S + do not/don’t//does not/doesn’t + V
GRESELI FRECVENTE: Tendinta voastra este de a omite auxiliarul, care este foarte important in limba engleza. Astfel, in situatia in care acesta este
omis se modifica automat si sensul propozitiei, uneori aceasta nemaiavand niciun sens.
I not like pizza. (Eu nu plac pizza.) – in loc de – I don’t like pizza. (Mie nu imi place pizza.)
He not play in the garden. (El nu juca in gradina.) – in loc de – He doesn’t play in the garden. (El nu se joaca in gradina.)
UTILIZARE:
- pentru actiuni repetate/obisnuite (in special cu adverbele de frecventa: often, usually, seldom, rarely, etc.):
He always does his homework. (“always” inseamna “every day”) – El intotdeauna isi face tema.
PRESENT SIMPLE
EXPRESII:
every day/week/month/year (in fiecare zi/saptamana,/luna/an); once/twice a day/week/month/year (o data/de doua ori pe zi/saptamana/luna/an);
number + times + a day/week/month/year (three times a year – de trei ori pe an); in the morning/evening/afternoon (dimineata/seara/dupa-amiaza); on
Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays (in zilele de Luni/Marti/Miercuri/Vineri – Lunea/Martea/Miercurea/Vinerea)
Adverbe de frecventa: always, often, usually, seldom, never, rarely; sometimes; frequently; occasionally (intotdeauna, deseori, de obicei, rareori, niciodata,
rar, uneori, frecvent, ocazional); etc. – care stau intotdeauna inaintea verbului sau dupa am/is/are (formele verbului TO BE – A FI)
POZITIA ADVERBELOR DE FRECVENTA: always (intotdeauna), usually (de obicei), often (deseori), sometimes (uneori), seldom (rareori), rarely (rar),
never (niciodata)
Adeverbele de frecventa preceda verbul de conjugat: Jane usually goes to work by bus.
Adverbul urmeaza dupa auxiliarul "be": Jane is usually late.
Adverbul se pune de obicei dupa verbul auxiliar sau modal si inaintea verbului de Mary can never remember what to do.

Pentru a accentua, putem pune adverbul la inceputul sau sfarsitul propozitiei. Sometimes we go to school by bus.
"Always" nu poate fi folosit la inceputul sau sfarsitul propozitiei. Never has there been a better time to overcome our fears.
"Never", "seldom", "rarely" nu pot fi folosite la sfarsitul propozitiei. Rarely do we have an opportunity like this to attain to such an
interesting workshop.
Cand folosim adverbele de frecventa in INTEROGATIV acesta vor precede verbul Does he often go to the cinema?
de conjugat.
"Never", "seldom", "rarely" si alte adverbe de frecventa negative sunt Sue never goes to work by bus.
intotdeauna urmate de un verb la forma afirmativa.
