I. Learning Objectives

At the end of the lesson the students are expected to;


a. state the names of the animals and distinguish their corresponding sounds,
b. imitate the sounds of the animals
c. give the importance of the animals to humans

II. Subject Matter


Science: Animal Sounds

Materials
a. Animal Puppets
b. Video or audio (you can use video or audio)
c. Pictures

III. Procedure

A. Review
Let the students recall past lesson about animals found in the farm of Mr.
McDonald

B. Motivation
The teacher will let the student watch and listened to a video about the animal
sound

The animals will be distributed to the students, whenever the animal that the
student is holding mentioned in the song, they will stand up and face their
classmates while raising the puppets.

C. Presentation

Today we are going to find out what are the sounds of the different animals.
let us take a look on the animals found in the farm and distinguish the sounds that
they produce.

D. Discussion

Introduce the different animals together with their sound

Show pictures of animals and let the students listen as the teacher say their
corresponding sounds.
the students will listen to the sounds of the animals and imitate it after.

"This is a cat –meow, meow!".

 dog - woof
 duck - quack
 owl – twit-twoo
 sheep - baa
 pig - oink
 bird - tweet

Are animals important to the humans?
What can we get from the animals?
Why should we take care of them?

E. Generalization
Show pictures of animals and asked the student to say its sounds.
What is the sound of a pig?
Who can give me or tell me the sound of a mouse?
How about this animal what is its sound?

F. Application

What do these animals says? Fill in the bubbles, using the sounds found inside the
box below.
