LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE – KINDER

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:
a. identify animals that live on land, on water and both on land and water;
b. give examples of animals that live on land, water and both on land and water;
and
c. explain ways on how to show kindness to animals.

III. Procedure

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Prayer
The teacher will choose among the pupils to lead the prayer.
2. Checking of Attendance
The teacher will ask the Class President to be the one who will check the
attendance.
3. Classroom Management
The teacher will tell the pupils to arrange the chairs properly before they
can sit.

B. Developmental Activities
1. Drill
The teacher will ask the pupils to stand up and shake their body for a
count of ten.

2. Review
Let the pupils recall the sounds of different animals. Let them sing the
song “Kitty, Kitty meow!”.

3. Motivation
Show pictures of different animals in different habitats. (PPT)
Let the pupils describe each picture.
Ask: Where does this animal live?

IV. Lesson Proper

A. Activity
“What’s in the Box?”
Show the pupils a box.
Let them guess what’s inside the box.
Let the pupils get one object from the box and give the name of each animal.
Let the pupils place the toy animals in their habitat on the pocket chart.
Say: Where does the fish live?
B. Analysis
1. How do you find our activity?
2. What will happen if these animals will not be feed.
3. How will you show kindness to these animals?
4. What do you think of the lesson today?

C. Abstraction
The teacher will present a video – “Habitat of Animals”. The teacher will
discuss about the different animals and in what habitat do they live.

D. Application
Group Activity:
The class will be divided into three (3). Let each group select the pictures of
animals according to habitat indicated on their chart.
