 COMMUNITY SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Community services are buildups done to benefit
others. The beneficiaries could either be the children,
seniors, students or the youth, the unfortunate people, or
any other targets in a community near you – a school, a
barangay or any place that would much need the specific
service. It sounds expensive and costly. But, little did
everyone know that it can be done without spending too
much money as you execute your desired community
service regarding the fact that you will not earn personal
money from it since you do this voluntarily.
Chari”tees” is a charity campaign that would be done
through accepting tees donations from a certain university
students and the tees donations will eventually be reserved
for a tees thrift shop or “ukay- ukay” in Filipino. The
income that will be generated from this will be delegated for
the fund raising charity campaign for the indigent students
from remote area school in the province. Through this,
volunteers could generate fund that will be used for the
school supplies that will be disseminated to the target
beneficiaries.
This community service would not only be an avenue
to just raise funds without any humane reason. This is to
reach out with those students from the indigent family and
give them a sense of hope and motivation that whatever
their status in life is, they should not give up in their
dreams, for they are the future of our nation. Most likely,
these children tend to lose hope in their studies for the lack
of opportunity. And, this community service must serve as
a lift of their minds that whatever it is that hinders them,
whether it is poverty or lack of opportunity, in achieving
their dreams must not affect them, and this will also help
them as a motivation for them to study harder through
those new school supplies. Through this little help, this
community service will make something remarkable in the
lives of those students from the indigent families.

The target location for accepting and collecting

donations would be the Bicol University and the target for
the donations are its students. The target location for the
community service is a primary school in the remote area
inside the province of Albay.
 COMMUNITY SERVICE RECIPIENTS
(1) The primary recipients of this community service
will be the students from indigent families, specifically the
students in the primary education. Also, (2) the families of
those children for they would lessen their burden in
providing some needed school supplies for their children
and they can already allocate their budget for the supplies
in their food or their other needs. (3) The school is also a
recipient of the community service. This is because when
students have new school supplies, they are more
motivated to study and if that’s the case, they will also be
motivated to teach the students. (4) The local government
of the remote area is also a recipient. This community
service will somehow help them provide something for
these group of people because they are expected to help
them uplift the condition of these people in some ways that
are possible and this could be of help also. (5) Lastly, the
volunteers for the community service, for they could
immerse themselves into the lives of these target and
reflect on them.

COMMUNITY SERVICE DESCRIPTION

Children love story books. Who else does not? Even

if some children still cannot read, they can understand
what’s in the book just by looking at the visual images.
Those bright and attractive colors help them create
different imaginations in their minds that they consider
amazing and fun.

A community service concerning these imaginative

and playful children is a good idea to get in with. By
collecting story books from the libraries, from friends,
from schools, etc. (borrowed or donated), we can come
up with an idea of establishing an 8-hours book-fair in a
certain barangay in the province wherein children can
borrow the books for reading.

TIME PLAN/ SCHEDULE

The target date is on February 23, 2019 (Saturday)

at a certain barangay in Polangui, Albay. The activity will
last for 8 hours or more depending on the enthusiasm of
the children to read books.

COMMUNITY SERVICE RECIPIENTS

The recipients of this community service are the

children of the community. Reading will help them in
increasing their intellectual learnings while having fun.
This will also help them boost their creativity through
their imaginations that are generated as they read.
Reading books can be fun, too.

“ZUMBA
FOR A CAUSE”

 COMMUNITY SERVICE DESCRIPTION

The young ones – their bodies are strong, they can

think well and do what their minds dictate them to do, and
their flesh are still on its finest. But, some doesn’t
realize that when you are still young, you need to take
care of your body so when you age, you’ll be enjoying the
privilege of being healthy because you had a healthy
lifestyle at your youthful days.
They say, “Life begins at 40.” This is somehow
proved to be true even without all those scientific
explanations why, because people of this age tend to think
of what they want to do but oftentimes their body already
cannot. And life’s twilight zone starts in here. This is
also the time when you need to take care of your body more
and have a healthier lifestyle for a healthy and worry-
free living.
One way to improve your healthy lifestyle is through
exercise. One form of exercise is dancing – like
“zumba”. This will be the main activity for this
community service. The target beneficiaries will be the
oldies including those mommies, tita’s, tito’s, lolo’s
and lola’s, seniors, etc. Aside from the health benefits,
it will also create a mood for recreation and leisure.
They might even forget of their age, feel young again and
be more energetic and tough. They would make fun while
being healthy. This community service is to promote
healthy lifestyle while having fun.
