Midway Reflection

Before starting English class this year, I was already nervous for what would come

during the year. The world has changed due to covid-19 and so has school, it is a completely

different learning style than what anyone is used to. Beginning the school year in person started

off well as we discussed what the school year would look like according to the JCC

requirements, and began talking about the summer reading assigned months before. As we

progressed throughout the course of these few months I realized I had to set a lot of extra time

outside of class to be working on my assignments especially essays, making sure they followed

everything on the rubric. When getting my grades back is something I reflect myself upon, even

though some of my grades don’t show how hard I work for them. I soon came to realize that no

matter how hard I worked to get a good grade it was never satisfactory for me; I would have to

work even harder to get a grade I could be proud of. The research project, what we have been

working on for quite some time is coming close to an end, as though I felt as I kept writing every

essay It was close to the one I had previously wrote before. This research project hasn’t been

hard but definitely has taken time to pursue, as you’re not just writing an essay you must find

articles with evidence to back your claim. Having class almost every day we learn something

new whether it has to do with grammar or formatting of an essay, as of this sometimes it is

confusing to learn or understand.
