Introductory Letter

Hello parents!

I am Ms. Galvez and I will be your student’s teacher this school year. I’m excited to begin this

school year and get to know your students as well as you guys, the parents. I want to assure you

that my classroom will be full of positivity and warmth. It will also be a place where students

aren’t afraid to speak up when they want to and a place where they know they can ask questions

without judgement. I hope to make all my students feel welcome and as comfortable as possible.

This school year your students will learn in a variety of ways, from working in groups to

working independently. I know that all students have different ways of learning and I will do my

job of tailoring to whichever way each student learns best. I have high expectations for all my

students, and I will be there to guide them to meet those expectations. I know that they have the

potential to learn and improve in whatever they struggle with. Helping them improve and seeing

their progress is what motivates me. In the end, I just want what is best for them and for them to

be prepared to move on to the next adventure. As far as communication between us, you can

expect to hear about your child’s progress once a week. This way I will know that you are aware

of what is going on throughout the year. If for whatever reason you feel the need to contact me

about your child’s progress throughout the school year you can contact me through the email or

phone number supplied below. Or you can schedule an appointment to meet in person,

whichever way works best for you. I know that many of you have busy schedules and I can work

around them to assure the best for your students. Just let me know and I’m sure we could work

something out. Again, I want to welcome you to a new school year, and I look forward to a great

school year with our students!
