Disturbia

Film Plot

The lm starts with a boy and his dad out shing. On their way back from being on
the shing trip they are talking to his mother on the phone, this causes a distraction
to the road. They continue talking on the phone until they realise that a car in front
of them has stopped, however it is too late and the car ips over after crashing into
the mobile vehicle. The boy and his dad appear to be alright until another car comes
and smashes into the ipped car. The boy seems to be alright and gets out of the
car to help his dad out of the crashed vehicle; he then realises that his dad is dead.
This was done to introduce the boy and show his change after the crash.

After crash the timeline skips to a year later where the boy is in school in a Spanish
class; he has fallen asleep in the lesson and the Spanish teacher decided to
mentioned his dad and how he wouldn’t be proud of the way he was now; this lead
the boy to punch the teacher. The next thing we see is the boy being charged with
the assault leading him to being put on house arrest for 3 months. This was done to
show how his father’s death had a ected him, and made him go down the wrong
path.

The boy starts to become bored in the house which means he started to notice little
things around his neighbourhood, such as the new neighbour who moved nested
door. He starts to become interested in the girl, and watches her from afar.

When the boy’s friend comes over the boy gives him a tour around the house, telling
his friend all the things that he has noticed about the neighbour hood. The boy
mentions that there is another man who lives next door, but he said there was
nothing to say about him. Later he then sees something suspicious about him, he is
out late at night going out in his car which happens to have a dent on the front of it.
They notice inside of his garage there is a skull, in which the girl says “he really likes
skulls”.

Throughout the lm there is mentions of people going missing.

The boy and the girl then goes on a “steak out” where they watch the man next
door to see what he is doing. They watch the man take a back home in his car; they
watch as they are in the house. They see the guy has a knife when he is with the
woman; they watch as he bring the knife towards the woman. Tension is built up as
we think that the man is going to kill the woman, however he just cuts o the price
tag o of the girl that he had brought home. After that they stop watching what the
man does.

The girl

There is a scream heard outside, the woman from the mans house is screaming and
running away from the man. The woman is banging on the window trying to escape,
while the boy is only able to watch from inside of his house. The man drags the
woman away and you don’t see the woman after that. The boys hen looks up to see
what has happened but the woman, but the man sees the boy looking at him from
his window. The boy freaked out then calls his friend to tell him what has happened
and when he does he watches outside of the house. The woman’s car then drives
away, so the boy thinks that the woman left the car however when watching I think
that the man took the car to make it look like she had left so then there was no links
to them both if she was shown to have gone missing.

The next day the man next day appears in his house. The man had helped his mam
out with a at tire.

There is a shot of blood being splattered on the window. There is a bunch of tools in
the room where the blood had The girl and the boy both watch as the man next
door drags a body out his house and into his car.

The girl follows the man to the store so then the boys can look for anything that
what explain what the man was doing the night before. The girl loses the man and
then goes to try and nd him; she goes to her car and drives o to try and nd him.
She drives o but then nds the man standing infront of her car. The man gets into
her car and intimidates her, telling her that he prefers to keep his privacy, he says
“you’re not the only one who is watching” and to tell the boys that too.

The boys are looking into the man more now as he is getting more and more
suspicious, they nd out that when the mans house was rst built there was one
less room than there is now. “Why does he need another room”.

They nd out that the boys nd had dropped his phone in the mans car when they
broke in to nd out what was happening. The boys friend goes into the mans
garage and said that it smelt like rotten bodies. They are using a live camera to keep
in contact while he was in the house. The friend goes to the bag that the girl and the
boy had saw being dragged down the stairs, The garage door closes while the
friend is in the house. He says that there is someone else in the house with him. The
camera dies when he falls over; this is where the boy and his friend loose contact.

The boy leaves the house to help him, however because he left his house police
arrive. When the police arrive the boy tells the police that his friend is inside the
house and that there is a dead body is in the house. They look in the bag that the
man dragged outside the house into the garage; the police look into the bag to see
a dead deer in the bag, the man claimed to have hit the deer on his way home.

The boy gets a message on his phone to look at his TV; on the TV the boys friend
appears to look dead on the TV. However it turns out it was his friend playing a joke
on him and he is alive. This tells us that the boy is alright and that he is safe, out of
the house.

When looking through the footage that the friend got they see a face.

This is when the man then hits the boy’s mother against the wall and gets into his
house and attacks the boys friend by hitting him over the head. The boy realises
what is happening and tries to get the footage. The man comes up the stairs and
tries to attack the boy. The boy tries to get out of the house to cross the line so then
the police come, however the man is able to then punch the boy and get him back
into the house.

The girl then gets into the house to nd the boy tied up with the man telling him he
is going to lie and tell the police that the boy killed his friends. The girl helps the boy
escape and the manage to get out of the house and cross the line.

The Boy goes to try and nd his mother and his friend from the mans house. Inside
the house the boy goes to where he had saw the face on the footage. He looks into
there appears to be a hidden room in the house. There is nothing in the room but a
creepy looking doll. As the boy is searching for his mother the man knows where he
is and is following but the boy doesn’t know yet.

The boy nds another room which is a while room with a fridge inside. He searches
the room to nd tools and evidence of that the woman that went to the mans house
at the start never left. Her purse, keys and hair is left inside of the room.

At this point the police are also in the house looking for the boy because he has left
his house. The man then kills the police man looking for the boy.

The boy is following the sounds of screaming and then falls into a pool dead bodies
underneath the oorboards. This proves that the man has been killing people and
that they are probably the missing people. The boy nds his mother but the man
nds him too. The man attacks the boy, the boy wins after stabbing him in the
stomach with hedge trimmers.

The boy and his mother get out of the house and the police are there to see that the
man was actually a serial killer..

The boy gets out of his house arrest early for solving the serial killer case. The story
ends with the boy, the girl and the friend all safe together having fun.
