WELCOME TO LEARNING ASSIGNMENT #1 The goal of Learning Assignment #1 is to provide an expansive overview of trauma and
adversity and its implications for school-aged children. Throughout this week, you will engage in a variety of activities that will allow
you to explore various aspects of trauma and adversity from the perspectives of educators, children, and clinicians. All the materials
and activities outlined in each Learning Assignment have been selected to provide your TILT with relevant content knowledge, skill
development, immediate practical application, and reflection. Approximate time (# mins) for each video and reading assignment are
provided below to assist you with managing your time. The activities listed as “optional” provide additional content information for
those who are able to devote the extra time.

Goal: To provide a foundational understanding of trauma and how it impacts the lives of children and educators
