Introduction of ATLAS GROUP OF COMPANIES
Products: Cars, motor cycles, batteries, Insurance, Leasing,
Investment, Banking, Trading and information technology.
Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Ltd. is a joint venture between
Honda Motor Company Ltd,. Japan & Atlas Group of
Companies, Pakistan signed on August 5, 1993. The
agreement signed between the two sponsors is for
collaborations for development of parts and systems for
manufacture of Honda Cars in Pakistan. Pakistani and
Japanese cultures have blended exceptionally well to form
a professional team of dedicated specialists.
Objective
Honda primary objectives are innovation and efficiency
resulting in high quality products in affordable price and
friendly environment. To develop and maintain distinct
business advantages through continuous induction of
improved hard and soft technologies. To ensure health
and viability of business and thus safeguarding
shareholders’ interest by maximizing profit. Payment of
regular satisfactory dividends and adding value to the
shares. And also follow government laws rules and
regulations to conducting all operations. In short, To
measure brand equity of Honda relative to competitors.
Identification of problems
There are following
problems which company faces;

 The company posted a profit of Rs.751million down by 64%


as compared to Rs.2.08 billion in the previous year. The
major reason behind the drop in profits was the decrease in
sales as the volumes which sunk by 50.65% due to a rise in
price and rupee’s devaluation against the US dollar.
 The other main reasons were higher car prices owing to the
devaluation impact, the 10% FED imposition on 1700cc and
above cars and the imposition of Advance Customs Duty i.e.
5% on all the imports.

Risk Management Alternatives


Improve The process by reviewing the results and modifying the
approach going forward, so that over time the organization grows
more nimble and resilient.

 For the solution of first problem faced by the company is to


improve the quality and manage the currency difference
between rupees and US dollars.
AVOID engaging in current projects and activities that
would trigger unacceptable risks.
 For the solution of second problem is to avoid unacceptable
risk and decrease in cars price according to market need.
Summary:
QUALITY : WE Have to aim for 120% product quality .IT is
unacceptable that even one customers that even one customers
in ten thousand -should receive a defective product that’s why
we have to aim for 120%.

created a quality cycle that continuously enhances quality at
every stage ,DESIGN,DEVELOPMENT ,PRODUCTION,SALES,AND
