Welcome CALABARZON DepEd Teachers!

Thank you for joining the Heroes 2021 and Akadasia Singapore teacher up-skilling program. In addition to
the training courses you will receive, we are happy to inform you that your enrollment provides you a one-
year learners’ access to FREEJOO, a full featured digital learning management system & platform.

We've created this guide to make sure that you have a seamless and easy onboarding experience in your
asynchronous course via FREEJOO.

For the synchronous (live) sessions, please refer to the table below on your respective schedules and the
process of joining:

Now to your onboarding to FREEJOO, let’s get started!

PART A - Create Your FREEJOO Account

1. Visit FREEJOO (https://freejoo.com/register) or click the ‘Register’ button on the Freejoo homepage. You
will see a form to create your account, and fill up accordingly. *NOTE: Use the same email address from
where you received these onboarding instructions (usually your official DepEd email). Complete the rest
of the form and submit.

2. You will then see your FREEJOO Dashboard, but on the right side margin, there is an activation alert
which asks you to check your inbox folder for the email with the activation link sent there. This page looks
like this:

PART B - Activate Your FREEJOO Account

1. The email with the activation link that you will receive, looks like this:
*NOTE: In case this email is in your spam folder, please mark as “Not Spam”. Or move it from the other
folders (such as Gmail > Social, Updates, Forums, Promotions) to the Primary folder or main Inbox.

2. Once you have clicked on the activation link from this email, it should bring you back to the FREEJOO
sign-in page. Log in with the email address and the password you created for your account in Part A.1,
and you should be able to activate Freejoo and view your Dashboard again:

PART C - Starting Your Training Course/s

Soon after receiving this document and activating your FREEJOO account, you will receive additional course
invitation emails from us.

1. The email that you receive will contain the link / button to access the course materials, as seen here:

2. You will be directed to your FREEJOO Dashboard, and the courses you are enrolled in will now be visible.
Take the courses in this order:
a) Introduction to Online Teaching
b) Creating Your First Online Course

3. Click “View Course” button to start. Enjoy learning! :)

PART D - Changing Your FREEJOO Password

1. On the upper right hand corner, beside your Username, click on the down arrow. Then click 'Account
Settings'.

Then click the 'Reset Your Password’ button. You should see a confirmation message that instructions
have been sent to your email account.

2. In the Password Reset email, click on 'Change my Password' button.

3. You will then see the 'Reset Your Password' page. Change your password accordingly. (*Do remember it,
and keep it in a safe place. Also make your password difficult for others to guess.)

4. You should see a 'Password Reset Complete' confirmation page. You're done! (*Test your new password
by trying to login again.)

PART E - Helpful Hints

• Freejoo is best viewed using desktop / laptop web browser. Still possible on tablet or mobile via web
browser, but some formatting may not appear as good as on a full computer screen. To view on a tablet
or a mobile phone via web browser, please hold the device in the landscape mode, for a better experience.

• Give the pages time to upload. As much as possible, click only once and let the webpage load for a few
seconds. Multiple successive clicks may result in a temporary access lockout (e.g. if multiple login attempts
are detected) as a security precaution. If this happens, please allow for 15 mins before trying to login again,
to refresh the system.

• If you get lost or stuck anywhere, just type the URL in the address bar of your browser and start over –
https://freejoo.com

• To create your own course on FREEJOO, just type the following URL in the address bar of your browser –
https://studio.freejoo.com
