Tenses

There are mainly 3 types of tense

1. Present tense
2. Past tense
3. Future tense

These tenses are further categorized into 4 branches

1. Indefinite
2. Continuous
3. Perfect
4. Perfect Continuous

Present Tense:
»Indefinite Tense:
 Singular: he, she, it = s or es
 Plural: I, you, we, they = dosen’t required s or es
 Helping verb: do and does
 Form of verb: !st form of verb

»Sentence Structure:
•Simple Sentence:
S+V+O
E.g: He plays the video game.
I approve her request.
•Negative Sentence:
S + H.V + not+ V + O
E.g: He does not play the video game.
I do not approve her request.
•Introgatie Sentence:
H.V+ S + V + O
E.g: Does he play video game?
Do I approve her request?
•Negative Introgatie Sentence:
H.V+ S + not + V + O
E.g: Does he not play video game?
Do I not approve her request?

»Continuous Tense:
 Helping verb: is, am, are
 Form of verb: !st form of verb + ing
 Singular: he, she, it = is
 Plural: You, we, they, = are
 1st person pronoun: am
»Sentence Structure:
•Simple Sentence:
S + H.V + V + O
E.g: He is playing the video game.
I am approve her request.
•Negative Sentence:
S + H.V + not+ V + O
E.g: He is not playing the video game.
I am not approving her request.
•Introgatie Sentence:
H.V+ S + V + O
E.g: Is he playing the video game?
Am I approving her request?
•Negative Introgatie Sentence:
H.V+ S + not + V + O
E.g: Is he not playing the video game?
Am I not approving her request?
»Perfect Tense:
 Helping verb: has, have
 Form of verb: 3rd form of verb
 Singular: he, she, it = has
 Plural: I, you, we, they, = have

I have approved her request.
•Negative Sentence:
S + H.V + not+ V + O
E.g: He has not played the video game.
I have not approved her request.
•Introgatie Sentence:

Have I approved her request?
•Negative Introgatie Sentence:
H.V+ S + not + V + O
E.g: Has he not played the video game?

 Form of verb: 1st form of verb + ing
 Singular: he, she, it = has been
 Plural: I, you, we, they, = have been

They punched me.
•Negative Sentence:

E.g: Teacher did not teach us lesson today.
They did not punch me.

E.g: Did teacher teach us lesson today?
Did they punch me?
