1. A set of 20 students is made up of 10 students from each of two different year-groups. Five students are to be selected
from the set, and the order of selection is unimportant. Find

box. Given that these 3 sweets are not all of the same flavor. Calculate the number of different ways she can select her 3

5. 9 different books are to be arranged on a book-shelf . 4 of these books were written by Shakespeare, 2 by Dickens and 3
by conrad .How many possible permutations are there if
(a) the books by conrad must be next to each other?
