ADJECTIVES:
An adjective describes or modifies nouns and pronouns in a sentence. It normally indicates
quality, size, shape, duration, feelings, contents, and more about a noun or pronoun.

Example:
• The team has a dangerous batsman.
• I earn more money than he does

Types

Attributive:

There is no linking verb between noun and adjective.

Example: The tall boy.

Predictive:

It contain linking verb between noun and adjective.

Example: The boy is tall.

Types of adjective W.R.T function:

Quantitative Adjectives:
A quantitative adjective provides information about the quantity of the nouns.
Examples:
o I have 20 bucks in my wallet. (How much)
o They have three children.

Qualitative adjective:
A qualitative noun provides information about quality of noun.

Example
• The pickle is so sour.
• The tiger roars in the forest.

Demonstrative adjective
These adjective points to noun
Example
• This car is mine
• These cats are cute

Interrogative adjectives
The interrogative adjective asks a question.
Examples
• Which phone do you use
• What game do you want to play

Possessive adjective
These adjectives shows ownership or possession
Example:
• My car is parked outside
• His cat is cute

Proper adjective
These adjectives are derived from proper noun.
Example:
• American cars are very strong
• Chinese people are hard workers.

Degree of adjectives
• Positive
Ahmed is good boy
Ahmedis very good boy (positive)
• Comparative degree
It is used when two things are compared
Example: my house is bigger than yours.
• Superlative degree
It is used to compare more than two things
Example: Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system
