Review on Related Literature

A literature review surveys articles, journals and any other sources relevant to a particular issue,

area of research, or theory, and provide a description, summary, and critical evaluation of these works in

relation to the research problem being investigated. Literature reviews are designed to provide an

overview of sources you have explored while researching a particular topic and to demonstrate to your

readers how your research fits within a larger field of study. (Fink, 2014).

In writing a related literature, we should use evidence since it will backed up the interpretation of

the researcher in the study, be selective, select only the most important points in each literature to

emphasized in the review, the use of quotes should be lessen but the use of it will come in handy to

emphasize some point in the review, summarize and synthesize the sources by rephrasing the study’s

significance and in relating it to the review and lastly and most important the idea of the researchers

should be present.

After listening to Dr. Lapitan’s lecture about the review on related literature, I realized that

further and thorough research on articles will greatly help us on how we will be able to connect to our

readers the ideas about the study we are passionate for. At present and in the future, I will be able to

accurately write a research with the aid of this lecture.
