Aleecia Moss is motivated and hard-working senior at

Banneker High School. She is also in Banneker’s 3DE

magnet program, where she learned about things
such as financial literacy and entrepreneurship. With
this program she also got certified in Microsoft
PowerPoint. This program has taught her how to
work with others in groups to solve problems. When
it comes to her work approach, she is considered a liaison. While she
works well independently, she can also easily work in a group. She can
relate to other opinions and views while still having a unique opinion of
her own. She also has a good sense of time and focus. She always thinks
about both the current and future activities and accomplishments that
she could do and gain while working toward goals. Being able to keep
her eye on the prize and help others stay focused on the main goals are
what makes her a balanced focuser. Working in small groups is not an
issue for her, especially if the group contains people of different
backgrounds and knowledge. She likes working with different people
she can learn from and broader her range of knowledge. Because of her
accomplished vocabulary figuring out the meaning of new words is not
difficult for her. She has many good personal qualities that could help
her with her future goals. She is very caring and has good work ethic.
She loves animals which is why after high school she aspires to become
a veterinarian. She is involved in two after school groups, Upward
Bound and Next Generation Women, that help prepare students for
their futures and expose them to different types of companies and
colleges. These groups have helped her figure out what steps she needs
to take to get her dream job. She has a plan to go to a four-year college
and join a pre-vet program. She has already made a list of steps she
needs to take to get her degrees and licenses to fulfill her dream
career. While participating in Next Generation Men and Woman and
Upward Bound, she is also on her school’s soccer team. All her
extracurriculars have taught her how to collaborate, communicate, and
solve problems.
