The Nobel Peace Prize is an award for those who have
worked to promote peace in the world. The Nobel Prize was established by Alfred Nobel, who was known for inventing dynamite. The 2007 Nobel Prize was awarded to Al-Gore for educating people about the threats of the climate change. People asked Al- Gore to give a speech because he won the Nobel Peace Prize. He gave his speech in 2007. He first started to talk about Alfred Nobel, who established the Nobel Prize, and how his invention of dynamite changed the world. Then, he talked about the global warming and how burning coal, oil, and gas are increasing the CO2 in the atmosphere and it will cause rising in the temperature. Today we added 70million tons of global warming pollution and the scientist estimated if we didn’t decrease this amount of rising temperature the ice on the Earth will completely melt. The melting of ice will cause floods, wildfire, and will cause destruction in the world. At the end of the speech, Al-Gore said that this is our last years of taking a decision, either to forget the danger of climate change or to take an act and decrease the global warming and the climate change. We have to get over and act, not only for us but for the next generations and for all the living beings that live on this planet.
