Interrogation Film Reflection

This is my essay about my interrogation film, throughout my film I only use a

couple camera angles but you don’t really need many angles for a simple
conversation. One of my favourite shots is the shot of the interrogator with his
face shrouded in darkness, I purposely kept his face in the darkness, so it
makes the character more mysterious, I felt like the lighting was the strongest
part of my film. While filming I had trouble with the environment being too
cold, so I had to take breaks often.

Although this film is not one of my favourites that I’ve made I still think it
meets the project brief effectively. I realized that the main focus of these tasks
in this unit is to show that you can use a filming technique and produce a short
film/example of the technique, not create a proper film with a good plot.
If I were to do this film again, I would experiment with more interesting
camera angles and make the script longer to have more questions. I might also
experiment with different environments, for example maybe lean into the
comedy side and film in a light, happy environment.
In this exercise I learnt that the environment that your film Is shot in has a
massive impact on the look (Mise en scene) of your film. I feel like my film
would have been lacking in atmosphere.
