ACKNOWLEDGMENT
ABSTRACT (150-200 words)
The abstract should contain the objective, hypothesis, methodology, major findings,
conclusion and recommendations. This should be in full text, no bullets or
enumerations.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
This contains all the major topics and subtopics presented in each chapter.
LIST OF TABLES (if any or as necessary)
LIST OF FIGURES (if any or as necessary)
LIST OF APPENDICES
This contains the request letter with approval and other materials required by the
evaluators, and questionnaire/test materials.
Theoretical/Conceptual Framework
For thesis, the researcher proves a theory. The Conceptual Framework is usually used.
For dissertation, the researcher builds up a theory.
Research flow should be included in the conceptual Framework.
The Research Paradigm is the visual presentation of the research process.

Statement of the Problem
This enumerates the research questions.
Hypothesis
The proposition stated in the study will determine whether the
hypothesis will be stated in the null or alternative form.
Assumptions (if absolutely necessary)
These may be explicit or expressed or they may be implicit or written within the
text.
Significance of the Study
The researcher states the importance of the study. The persons or groups who
will benefit from the study should be identified. This should be reflected in the
recommendations.
Scope and Limitation/Delimitation of the Study
It answers the questions what (coverage of the study), when (time
conducted), where (place where conducted or area covered) who (persons who
were involved) and how (procedure conducted).
Definition of Terms/Variables
This includes the key and relevant terms in the study. Acronyms should also
be included.

CHAPTER III RESEARCH METHODOLOGY (Use past tense.)
Research Method Used
Identify the research method used.
Explain the research design used. Justify why the design was used.
Population Frame and Sampling Scheme or Study Population
Use Population Frame and Sampling Scheme if the researcher used samples.
Use Study Population if no sample was used and the whole population was
utilized in the study.
Description of Respondents
Discuss all the important information or characteristics of the respondents of the
study. Give also the rationale for choosing them.
Research Instrument
Discuss the research instrument used. Include the validation if it is not
standardized.
Data Gathering Procedure
Discuss the step-by-step procedure done in gathering data.
Statistical Treatment of Data
Enumerate the statistical tools used. Specify the specific problem where each
tool was used. Include the formulas and the sources.

Summary of Findings
Present the results or findings using general statements.
Follow the sequence of the problem presented in Chapter 4.
Conclusions (Use present tense.)
From the result or findings devise the valid conclusions.
Conclusions must correspond to each of the results or finding.
Related conclusions can be fused.
Recommendations
Make proper recommendations that jibe with the results or findings.
Ideally, they should be directed at the target groups that were mentioned in the
significance of the study.
Recommendations should be feasible, realistic, practical and specific.
The last recommendation should be on areas for further study.
REFERENCES
Use modified American Psychological Association (APA) style (2009, 5 th ed.).
Categorize the sources.
