Bart Ingredients is the second-largest herbs and spices company in the development
of the organic and Fairtrade Ingredients market in the country.

Bart was established in Bristol in 1963 and today employs more than 180 people,
sourcing ingredients from across the globe which are blended at its HQ in Bristol.
Familiar products are its branded herbs and spices range, Thai Fish Sauce, Coconut
Milk, and Thai Curry Pastes.

Langholm Capital backed a management buyout of Bart in 2010 and overseen


significant brand development, fostered innovation, and invested in the entire supply
chain to deliver a significant improvement in tin quality assurance. In 2014, Bart
acquired OTP Foods, which produces a wide range of products for supermarkets and
independent brands, thereby giving Bart an even broader offering.

Langholm sold the company in October 2017 to Fuchs ,Germany’s largest spice
producer.
