Activity 1. Community Mapping
Make an illustrated map that describes your local community. Include in your map photos
and images that represent the people in your community. Draw arrows, lines, and
symbols to show the relationships between the people in your community. Write a five-
sentence paragraph as explanation of your work.
Activity 2. Define It
Write your own definition of the word “community” using 15 words or less. Exchange
your work with a classmate and see who has the most concise and encompassing definition.
