1. Select the correct serologic pipette 1 2. Non dominant hand for holding the serologic pipette 1 3. Dominant hand for holding the rubber pipettol 1 4. Immerse the tip of the serologic pipette 2 approximately 1-2 inches in the solution in an upright position. 5. Press the rubber pipettol and fit onto the 1 mouthpiece of the serologic pipette. 6. Release the pressure on the bulb in a control and 2 slow manner. 7. Aspirate solution over the “0” mark. 2 8. Quickly remove the pipettol and seal the 2 mouthpiece of the serologic pipette using the index finger. 9. Raise the pipette out from the solution. 1 10. Wipe the excess fluid on the outside surface of the 2 immersed part of serologic pipette using a tissue paper. 11. At eye level, adjust the lower meniscus of the liquid 3 exactly at the “0” mark. 12. Drain the liquid into the receiving container in a 2 vertical position and tip against the wall of the receiving container.
