The null hypothesis in a 2 sample t test of means is always zero.

In Null Hypothesis we assume that the Mean of group 1 is equal to the Mean of group 2. Therefore the
difference between mean is alwys zero.

SSE or Sum of square errors show variations within the population.

It is the sum of the squared differences between each observation and it's group mean.

It show how far the data is from regression line.

1C)

For 6 samples of sample size 6 each, the degree of freedom (DF) for SSE will be:

Degree of freedom for SSE = N-g

Where N is the total number of observations.

N=36
g is the number of coefficients.

g=6

Therefore df(SSE)=36-6

=30
