Head of Engineering and Projects (m/f )

Caribbean and Central America
Your duties will include:
• Responsibility for planning, engineering, project management and construction of turnkey photovoltaic power plants in
the region (planning, implementation, and tracking of resources required to complete the projects)
• Workforce management, leading a team of highly skilled Project Managers, Technicians and Engineers
• Being capable to interact in multinational standards, environment with strong adaptability to the local situation
• Lead the independent selection of components and tendering of trades and Subcontractors
• Manage the preparation of calculation plans, part lists and system design
• Cooperation, negotiation and joint problem-solving with local & International suppliers, clients & partners
• Tender and presentation creation
• Implementation of requirements analysis, evaluation of process solutions, development and coordination of technical
and functional specifications, progress and budget monitoring and reporting
• Inspection and evaluation of turnkey plants: ground mount-, rooftop-, carport-, off grid-, grid connected -and hybrid projects
• Monitoring and performance management
• Supervise the local Operation and Maintenance (O&M) team
• Planning and management of several photovoltaic projects with assigned Project Managers, together with the support
from the HQ team
• Monitoring the completion of photovoltaic projects from engineering to commissioning
• Implementation of cost-efficient project management and administrative processes

Your Profile:
• University degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering training as an electric installer, foreman, technician
or electrician
• Extensive Engineering and project management experience in the photovoltaic field
• Good knowledge of CAD (Autocad, Civil3D, Sketchup or similar Software)
• Good knowledge of PVSyst and electrical design software (Caddy, E-plan or similar)
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)

• Willingness to travel
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and Spanish is absolutely necessary, German is a plus
