Role Description
Part of the CTO - End User Computing Division, the Real Time Communications (RTC) Team provide
platforms and expert services to all Deutsche Bank Employees. Platforms include Microsoft Teams,
Skype for Business, Movius, Symphony, Eikon Messenger, Zoom, Room Meeting Systems,
Compliance Capture, Room Conferencing, Avaya Telephony and Trading Voice.

You are a well-motivated engineer with 5+ years of experience and you will join a global team of
other expert individuals that collectively design, develop, and deliver significant components of the
RTC solutions.

You will be a member of the engineering team for our IPC Unigy and Cloud 9 Trading Voice
Environment, you will be a role model of re-use, build fit for purpose and maintainable solutions,
encourage best practices, and deliver robust and well-tested solutions. Our engineers are creative,
collaborative, innovative and passionate with a strong desire to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

➢ Employ a range of techniques to analyse problems and evaluate multiple solutions against
engineering, business & strategic criteria
➢ Collaborate to achieve consensus on topics and issues and contribute to communities
➢ Design solutions using common design patterns with a range of design tools & techniques
➢ Conduct peer reviews to ensure designs are fit for purpose, extensible & re-usable
➢ Deliver end to end first-class engineering solutions across a range of technology platforms
➢ Ensure stable and reliable production environments and high-quality user experience to
customers
➢ Create or contribute to appropriate release artefacts such as release schedules including
milestones, release scope, risk, and issues.
➢ Investigate production incidents & lead remediation
➢ Design & build solutions which are secure & controlled
➢ Investigate & report on issues and potential risk events within designs and solutions
Skills & Qualifications:
Must have

• English written and verbal skills are mandatory in a global team

• Analytical thinker experienced in a range of problem solving techniques & approaches
• Team player who shares and collaborates, a keen listener and quick learner
• Communicates clearly and influences using coherent, fact and benefit-based proposals
• Solid understanding of Real Time Communication systems and infrastructure such as
Telephony, Unified Communications and Compliance Recording
• Platform independent understanding of Trading Voice specific technologies and procedures
• Solid understanding of infrastructure and platform components included but not limited to:
o Linux Server Systems and Windows 10 Desktops
o LAN, WAN, QoS and Data Networks
Desirable

• Cloud Technology Knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Scripting and program language skills in (e.g. Bash, Python, Powershell)
• Experience with XML, JSON, REST and SOAP interface programming
• Knowledge in IPC Unigy and Cloud 9 platforms
• Knowledge of mobile platforms
o iOS / Android, Mobile RTC Products
• Experience with tooling across the SDLC:
o JIRA, ServiceNow, ALM
o Confluence, Artifactory
