Call for Papers th 4 National Research Conference “State Building, Democratization, and Leadership” The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Meles Zenawi Leadership Academy will host the 4 th National Research Conference in “Democratization and Change Leadership”, Addis Ababa, April 21-22, 2021. The two days conference will provide a platform for academics including students, practitioners, researchers and government officials. In the conference, a plenary for academics and practitioners is envisioned, where original researches and ideas from theory, practice and case study presentations on various aspects of the Democratization and Change Leadership in Ethiopia would be accommodated. The organizers therefore cordially encourage academics and practitioners to submit original research abstracts on the theme of the conference and the following areas, but not limited to: 1. Leadership Practices and Challenges to Sustain Effective Change in Ethiopia. 2. The 21st Century Leadership and Politics in Ethiopia. 3. Perceptions and Practices of the “MEDEMER” Concept in Transforming Ethiopia. 4. Development, Prosperity, and Leadership in Ethiopia (New Trends and Sustainability). 5. Nation-State-Building Practices in Ethiopia (Achievements and Challenges). 10. Youth Employment, the Labor Market and Leadership in Ethiopia. 11. Ethiopian Water Resource Development and Leadership. 12. The Democratization Process of Ethiopia (The Role of Media, Political Parties, and Civil Societies). 13.Contemporary Issues in Africa’s Development and Society (Terrorism, Conflict Resolution, Border Closures, Immigration, Trade, State and Nation Building). 14. Modern and Indigenous Leadership Practices in Ethiopia. 15. Leadership Trends in Conflict Resolution and Crisis Management in Ethiopia. 16. Other Related and Cross-Cutting Issues. Submission of Abstracts: Abstracts for submission should contain between 150-250 words and clearly indicate title and description of the research (objectives, methods used, major results, and implications). Important Dates Abstracts should be submitted before March 5, 2021. Notification of acceptance will be before March 15, 2021. Final research paper submission deadline is March 30, 2021. Power Point Presentation (PPT) Slides submission will be before April 12, 2021. Conference Day will be on April 21-22, 2021.
