institution anjd in the management, qualification and development of its human resources as
an important indicator of intangible resources

 Professor Noureddin Melikchi

Professor Noureddin Melikchi is one
of the most famous Arab researchers in
the United States thanks to the scientific
discoveries that he was behind, which
contributed greatly to the most
important scientific mission of the US
Space Agency (NASA) on the surface of
Mars. Algerian Noureddine Melikchi
has managed to develop devices to
capture images around the Red Planet
from a distance. According to the Patent
Service in the United States and the
Archives of the University of Delaware,
Melikchi registered 14 patents until 2009, most of which revolve around inventions of
advanced, small and easy-to-use optical devices and fibers used in the fields of diagnostics
in medicine, in addition to dental medicine, civil engineering and oceanography. . In
recognition of these scientific achievements, Melikchi won a large number of awards,
including the "Mid-Atlantic America for Tomorrow" award, known by its acronym "Smart",
the "Capitol Hill" award and the "NASA Research Award" among others. He also held high-
profile positions, most notably his chairmanship of the Public Safety Authority and the
Radiation Protection Authority, and a member of the Advisory Board of NASA, the
American Society of Optometry and the American Society of Physicists, and has published
more than 100 papers in international journals specializing in physics and applied optics..
