1. Introduction
.

In this workshop, we will understand the importance of traceability in an organization,

which will allow the optimization of processes, for this, we will make use of the place
prepositions, which will serve us to have vital markers of location and help measure
special relationships between people, objects and places.

Similarly, it is important to recognize the relevance that traceability has in each of the
supply chain processes, since helps to know the components and the origin of the goods,
the treatments attributed to the articles or the distribution process that has been followed.

➢ Produce English texts in written form

2.1 Specific objectives

➢ Identify prepositions of place.

➢ Understand the importance of traceability for a supply and distribution chain

➢ Enrich the technical vocabulary

Project activity 13
Telling where it is?

As it has previously mentioned, generating customer satisfaction is one of the main

objectives of any company. Understanding the customer’s needs is as important as
satisfying them. In order to do so, it is important to have a neat internal control and
organization of every process within the supply chain. That is why product traceability is
not only important as an internal control tool to manage possible risks in the supply chain,
but also a tool for the end consumer to rely on the product he/she is purchasing.

With this in mind and aiming to reinforce your acquired knowledge regarding the technical
vocabulary and some grammar English structures, work on the following workshop.
Please, have in mind the following instructions:

1. Look at the following safety signs and tell what they mean and where you can find
them. Use complete sentences and prepositions of place. Check the examples:

Conclusions
Carrying out the activity shows the importance of knowing how to direct someone from
one specific site to another, of course, if we move this topic to the organization, it is noted
that this knowledge is valuable as delays can be avoided by an erroneous indication and
even accidents within the site.
It will always be important and helpful to be clear about prepositions so that you can
precisely guide a new person at work, a supplier or a customer.
